Session 1

Self Talk and the BOX

Recognise hidden anxieties and set yourself free from 'the box' that keeps you stuck.

About John:

John has worked for a wide variety of companies including BPP university (as a coach/mentor), GP Strategies (on the HSBC contract), Training 2000 Ltd, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions and BAe Systems designing and delivering Leadership and Personal Development interventions, Coaching and Project Management. He is experienced at operating at all organisational levels providing not only Development Training but also Coaching and Boost Growth Business Consultancy, as well as Lumina Spark Profiling and Team Development. He is also a regular guest interviewee on leadership podcasts.
 

What we’ll explore:

• The anticipation of anxiety – here we’ll look at various ways we may feel about upcoming events and situations. We will review whether this is something we’ve experienced before or not, and whether we think it will be good for us (or not).

• Our psychological reactions – following on from the very first session we’ll explore what we felt before, during and after the exercise. Then how our feelings interacted with our self talk and how that impacted on the outcome.

• Negative Automatic Thoughts (NATs) – these are the words we tell ourselves that hinder us selecting a more effective response to the situation or events.

• The Box – this is a metaphor we’ll explore to describe the dark place we may find ourselves in when we give too much attention to the NATs.  We will look at what it is like being in the box, how the box works, who puts us in the box, etc.

• How to get out of the box – as it says on the tin - here we will talk about effective ways to get out of the box.

Session 2

Transform self-doubt

Transform all that mental, emotional and physical energy in to effective creative will.

About Kirsty:

Kirsty is a PhD candidate psychologist, an academic funded in consciousness research, she is a writer and community leader for sensitive, creative, empathic people. She has a professional mental health background and is a certified Highly Sensitive Person coach and child practitioner. Her research and teaching focusses on human potential and our innate capacities of intuition, empathy, creativity and psi phenomena (extrasensory perception and psychokinesis). Her work leverages the often hidden skills and abilities we all possess to cultivate action for our highest good.   

What we’ll explore:

• How to transform anxiety and self doubt into a living source of creative will, aka your 'manifesting mojo' 😍. It's not necessarily the 'problem' you've been told it is. Rather, it's one paradoxical side of a coin of insight - and you get to decide the value it holds.

• We will ask: What if... an anxious mind is the echo of a heart that deeply cares? What if it's not 'all in your head'? Rather, it's a full body, full being experience, full of personal wisdom about who you really are?

• Learn how to tap into this peculiar wisdom to identify your deep needs, values and desires. From here you gain  clarity on any hidden 'personal paradox' - i.e., what is driving you and what is also keeping you stuck.

• Resolve self-limiting beliefs that emerge - such as your 'inner critic' voice - with a fascinating technique known as 'parts work'. Here you will put your inner critic into a conversation with other 'parts' of yourself to resolve the 'office politics' of your mind!

•  In doing all this, you will also expand your mind-body awareness and discernment of your attention and intuitive faculties.

• The result? Rather than 'manage' anxiety forever, on the surface of how it presents, you will process it as a deep resource, a powerful fuel for your clarity of life-purpose.

Session 3

Strength to strength

Find that fire in your belly. Identify key personal strengths to focus your self-direction.
